Facebook og:image wont work with featured external image

  • Hello, first thank you for this great plugin.

    The option “Featured external Image” its working great on my site (i use bimber theme and yoast plugin for the meta) the only issue i have is with facebook og:image. It wont show in source code. BUT, the twitter:image its working perfect.

    What is the problem?

    Hi!

    Our plugin doesn’t add the featured image meta tags in your page. A different plugin is doing that. External featured images are a strong hack (WordPress is not very happy with them) and, therefore, it’s completely possible that they don’t always work as expected ??

    I recommend you take a look at your theme or the plugin that’s adding the meta tags and see if they offer a filter you can use to set the external featured image programmatically.

    Hi, thanks for reply, i know that Nelio Content doesn’t add featured image meta tags, that’s why i mention yoast. Also i tried another plugin (mashshare share buttons) that adds social meta tags but no luck :(. I also tried to change the theme to “Twenty Fifteen” but still didn’t fix the issue.

    I hope you guys can fix that issue on the next update. Thanks anyway!
