Buggy and feature-bare

  • I like the concept of this plugin, but the idea that it will become the default editor on the WP 5.0 core is concerning. There is a obvious lack of features and versatility present in the current classic editor as well as a plethora of bugs in Gutenberg. The concept is modern and interesting, but this is NOT ready to be forced onto WP users.

    It seems that WordPress is trying to make 5.0 appealing to beginners as drag and drop might be simpler to use, while at the same time alienating experienced users.

    I have uninstalled the plugin and hope WordPress reconsiders changing the default editor. I do NOT want to install an extra plugin for the classic editor once 5.0 comes out…

  • Hi @hashing, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on Gutenberg. Have you continued to use the editor in the more recent releases, and if so, has your experience improved?
