no child pages displayed for some pages

    UPDATE: problem is apparently due to a conflict with Table Of Contents Plus which hasn’t been updated in 3 years – i’ll leave this here for any others that may have the same problem…

    when i view the source everything is there, but the child pages do not display and if i’m logged in to WP, there is no admin bar on those pages

    CCCP was working fine for a very long time, however i changed from the 2013 to the 2016 theme and, although it worked at first, something broke somewhere

    things i’ve tried…

    * if i remove some of the shortcodes on the /articles page for the broken pages (/health, resources) then the rest of the child pages display, else none of them do
    * tried changing parent of pages, order
    * republished the broken pages
    * reduced shortcode to basic [child_pages]
    * changed WP theme
    * enabled WP debug – i saw no logs created
