• Hey guys – gals

I’m having difficulty with my installation of wordpress, Its been working fine for the last few weeks but today it started to play up.

If you take a look at https://www.garstangblog.co.uk – you will see that there are posts and pages on the site, I have access these pages before and edited them recently (a few days ago).

Now the problem I am having is that no matter what “internal” link i click on, whether its an article or a pa, it only show the home page of posts.

Now to try and solve this i have:

Disabled the plugins – this didnt work
Deleted the pages and remade them – this didnt work
Added the URLs to the pages directly into the header, instead of relying on the php call – this still didnt work

I am completely stumped on this one and would appreciate some help if possible.

    Thanks ??

  • I visited the site – seems that there is no category being picked up on the link. Are you assigning actual categories to the posts, and if so are you including it in the permalink?

Have you tried using the default permalink and seeing what happens?

Also if you let me know the version of WordPress you are using, it might help me figure it out. A lot of the time, simply upgrading tends to fix bugs like this.

    Anyway, let me know.

The current version is 2.7.1 which i believe is the latest

Ive tried putting the permalink back to default but its still the same issue.

All posts have categories assigned to them, they were all fine yesterday – and just don’t seem to work anymore – even tried posting a new blog article, even that has the same issue.

Hm…then it has me stumped too sorry. Unless it’s something to do with plugins that are somehow conflicting?
