Works great on desktop, not on mobile
-
Hello all,
I had great results optimizing our site with Swift Performance Lite and am considering upgrading to the full version. However, when I started testing the mobile version of the site, I was seeing a very different story.
Using GTMetrix as an example (although the issue is confirmed across several testing sites), speed and efficiency is greatly improved on the desktop site.
Desktop site, Swift Performance OFF: https://ibb.co/XxfFfYV
Desktop site, Swift Performance ON: https://ibb.co/2c0tn1bHowever, on the mobile site, things are almost entirely unchanged. I’m especially suspicious of the fact that both number of requests and the YSlow are exactly the same as the un-optimized desktop site. It seems that Swift Performance isn’t doing anything at all (aside from reducing the page size by a measly 30kb)
Mobile site, Swift Performance OFF: https://ibb.co/jgf7DJN
Mobile site, Swift Performance ON: https://ibb.co/7bWgDG5With mobile speed becoming more and more important, I would like to make sure that I can get Swift to produce results on our mobile site before we go pro.
Does anyone have experience with this issue or something similar? I tried searching the forum, but I did not find anything that seemed relevant.
Thanks so much for your help,
