Renew cache for updated page

The button at the top of the admin screen deletes the whole cache. I can’t see why this would ever be needed. Could it be set just to delete or rather renew the cache version of the currently edited page or could this be set as an option in the settings as a hook when updating a page. It have found the absence of this really irritating in what has been a very useful plugin.
