I’ve been trying to rearrange the fields in the listing form but it doesn’t seem to work. The drag & drop handle does nothing, and since my listing form it’s going to be 40-50 fields, arranging them by clicking up and down is a lot of work.

Am I missing something? I tried this on WP 4.9.8 and Chrome (in Incognito mode also).

    Hi @ogalinski,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

I just tested this on the latest BD and it seems to be working fine. I checked Chrome and Firefox on Mac both and each time, it was working as expected.

I’m not sure what you might be seeing there…could it be some browser-add-on that is interfering?

It’s possible there’s some kind of conflict on the site as well, preventing the Javascript from fully loading. You might want to look in Chrome Dev tools and check to see if any console errors are showing up for JavaScript loading. If so, then I would run a full conflict test:

Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/

But if that’s not the issue, try another browser.

Please let me know if that helps.

    Hi:

Thanks for answering. Heres a little vid showing what I’m trying to do:

    https://monosnap.com/file/A3iSFRfURVQNwcw1LUgSo7vhEJXEQd

As you can see, there are no Chrome extensions, no other activated plugins except BD. Chrome is 71.0.3578.80. Theme is Twenty Seventeen. WP 4.9.8 running on local setup, by way of Local by Flywheel.

    Any ideas?

P.S. in the vid the mouse cursor doesn’t change shape, but it does change to a four-direction arrow head.

Well, @ogalinski. I admit I’m stumped on this because I can’t recreate it on my servers at all.

I’m wondering about Local by Flywheel. is that a Windows-local server setup?

If so, that may be part of the issue…the only other suggestion is to try a conflict test.

Something may be failing to load on that page, creating the JavaScript error. Did you try that yet?

    Hi:

Local by FlyWHeel is used to make local WordPress setups, it works with VirtualBox and docker. I also tested it live, still doesn’t work. I tried to check for conflicts, nothing. In the end I had to make direct changes to the database to get the ordering as I wanted. I’l try some more tests.
