I’m having issues with WP 5.0 using Yoast and the plugin “WP Ultimate Recipe”. When both plugins are activated under the Twenty-Seventeen theme, the Yoast meta fields are blank and I get the console error (see link)

Running PHP 7.2 and MySQL 5.7. I’m also using the plugin “Disable Gutenberg”, and no other plugins.

Issue goes away when downgrading to 4.9.8.

Since the same error shows up with the plugin Pods and Yoast per this GitHub issue (https://github.com/pods-framework/pods/issues/5225) I thought to create the support issue here.

(PS. When using Divi and the three above plugins, the content box disappears completely. Again, the issue is resolved when downgrading to 4.9.8).

    Hope this helps!

  • Pods was updated to clear the issue, so if you update to 2.7.11 you should be fine from the Pods viewpoint.

If you deactivate the Disable Gutenberg plugin and only run Yoast SEO and WP Ultimate Recipe and a default theme, do the same console errors still appear?

Based on the information you provided, we expect this to be a bug. We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new issue for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You will need an account to create a new issue. If this is your first bug report, please check out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/.

With regards to the Pods plugin, we do know they recently released a new update. Please update and it should be resolved.
