• I would like to make one of my Featured Images be a clickable link to a video.

Is it possible or do I need to get something like a Featured Video plugin?

I have 10 plugins on my site now and I need them all. So I would rather not add another plugin, unless there is no other way.

I only need this on one page.

(would Featured Video conflict with Featured Image if I installed it. Would I need to use one or the other?)
like I mentioned, I would rather avoid another plugin.

The built in Featured Image functionality has never really had a link attached to it, sort of thing. Different themes use the featured image differently. The new Twenty Nineteen theme, for example, uses it as the background for the page header, behind the post title.

So really, I’d say that if you need an image with a link in your post, you’re probably best off putting it in the post, and not trying to use the Featured Image functionality for it. The theme support might not be there.

Is there a way to suppress the featured image on a single post?

So the featured image would show up in a list created by a search or a clicking a category but on the post itself, it would not show up?

(if I take it out completely, than there would be no image on the index page where it is shown as an “important” article, it would look odd next to the other articles that all had pictures to accentuate them)

    Thank you for answering
