I’m hoping someone has figured out how to display images for each episode because we’ve spent hours/days trying to get it work with no luck. We would like the episode image to display in the Blubrry audio player, iTunes, and other locations. Our images are embedded in the metadata and we’ve followed all the Blubrry document instructions we could uncover. Thanks for any guidance!

Go to PowerPress >> Audio Player and click the Activate and Configure Now link next to Blubrry Audio Player. On the next screen, make sure Display field for entering iTunes episode image and Use iTunes episode image with player are checked and click the Save Changes button.

Then, make sure you’re adding the image file URLs for each episode’s artwork to the Podcast Episode box of each episode on your site.

Thanks, Shawn. All the references to iTunes have us very confused. We were also working on a test server that was http and once we did what you said and tested on our secure server it worked. Our last step is to get the episode title to show in the audio player and it looks like the only way to do that is to use the embed code from blubrry so that’s our next challenge. Any tips there would be appreciated. Thank you!

The only way to get the episode-title version of the Blubrry Audio Player is thru the embed codes available thru your blubrry.com dashboard. You can use the embed field option in PowerPress settings so that, once you publish an episode, you can enter the embed code from your Blubrry dashboard and add that to the embed field within your Podcast Episode box for each episode. There’s really no way to automate the process at this time.

Well we’ve had success creating an audio player with the image and creating an audio player with the title, but no luck creating an audio player with an image and the episode title. The episode image also only shows on our website, not on Blubrry or iTunes so maybe we missed another checkbox somewhere. Appreciate your help, we’re going to keep trying to figure this out. Thanks!

Unfortunately, there’s no way to have both episode title and episode-level artwork display within the Blubrry Audio Player. It’s an either/or situation at this time.

OMG thanks for letting us know. We’ve lost weeks trying to make this work, I’m going to have a riot on my hands here in the office. Thousands of pages of cryptic Blubrry documentation and none of them thought to make that simple statement on the audio player set up page.
