Stop Microdata on Specific Video

    Hey there,

    We add a YT video into our sidebar, using the YT Lyte shortcode. We also have ‘Yes (add micordata)’ selected. So, we are adding microdata for a video that is (usually) completely irrelevant… on all pages.

    That said, the microdata feature is super helpful! And it has been super helpful in all other instances.

    Is there any way to stop the plugin from adding microdata on one video embed? Something to add to the shortcode or?

    not with the shortcode, but if you use the httpv-link method you can add a parameter noMicroData=1 or noMicroData=0 which should help you accomplish this ??

    Hey there,

    Shoot. Should have fully read the instructions on the httv links. After an hour, I just saw that you can’t use that with a pagebuilder. Also tried to push it through adinserter first and directly. Neither worked.

    Is there no other workaround we can use? Any way to hack it using the shortcode?

    only thing I can think of (if your pagebuilder supports it) is using LYTE widget, which does not have microdata?

    Yeah unfortunately, that won’t work either (given the way it’s being added).

    Will removal of microdata be added to the shortcode in the future?

    let’s make that a “yes”, but don’t ask me for a release-date (so much to do, so little time).
