dealership database? ugh.

I have seen a few things on here regarding excel databases… none of them are really fitting my needs. I have an issue I am trying to find a resolve to and maybe someone out there can help.

I have a wordpress website I am doing for a client, they are a product manufacturer. I am using posts to manage all the products, artists that use their products and news items. They also have an extensive world-wide dealer base that they use excel to keep track of. That’s the one I am stumbling on. I have searched high and low for something (even something i can add to a page through php) that can just parse the spreadsheet on the fly and display the results in a specific order (by table header “state” for example) or a plugin that will manage this info outside of the normal posts data. The info is fairly static, new dealers are added all the time by the company and old ones are taken out about every six months. I could probably even convince them to not do it in excel…

Any thoughts?
