    Hi,
I use the search widget on every page. It functions, but does not find the searched tabs completely. For example I am looking for “Tessa Catchpole”. I get several pages back, but not the page

    [ redundant link removed ]

It brings one page from January/2018 and there is a button for “newer posts”. But clicking on that, one gets answers which are “older”!

What can I do, to get a complete answer? (Really every page/post where “Catchpole” is written)

    Thanx in advance for hints…

The default search widget normally just sends a standard search request like example.com/?s=catchpole. The resulting request on your site is completely different, as is the response. Your theme or a plugin is altering the default search behavior. I suggest you inquire about this through the support channel of whatever module is responsible for this search behavior.

    Hi bcworkz,
    thanks for your reply.

    1) Do I understand your suggestion properly, that I should contact all the support channels of my theme and of all of my plugins??

2)Meanwhile I deactivated the plugins with a search function. Looking if this leads to another search behavior. And it lead to a satisfying result. The above mentioned page was given back as a search result.

No, not all. That will result in many “It’s not us” replies (or no reply). I thought you had a good idea what plugin was responsible. My bad for making assumptions. But here I go again… Assuming your plugins are still deactivated (make it so if not), reactivate them one at a time, testing after each. When the search results are incomplete again, the last activated plugin is the cause. Please contact them.
