What is the RSS feed you’re having problems with?

Be sure to follow ALL of these steps to increase the number of items in your podcast feed:
1.) Log in to your WordPress site. Hover over the Settings menu on the left-hand side and select Reading.
2.) Change the number in the “Syndication feeds show the most recent” box to a higher number like 300. Click the Save Changes button.
3.) Hover your mouse over the PowerPress link in the left-hand sidebar and select Settings. On the next screen, switch to Advanced Mode if you’re not already there
4.) Click the Feeds tab. In the “Show the most recent” box, enter the same number you entered in step two. Click the Save Changes button.
5.) Clear any site caches, if applicable.

I searched for your listing on Apple Podcasts and found this – https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-science-of-economic-freedom-podcast/id1327011103 – which is actually pulling this RSS feed: https://www.merceradvisors.com/category/podcasts/feed/

If that is your listing, then your RSS feed needs to be updated for it to pull the newest episodes.

That’s odd since we’ve got it setup as the correct RSS in PowerPress: https://www.merceradvisors.com/feed/podcast/

The RSS feed will need to be updated with Apple’s hub, Podcasts Connect (podcastsconnect.com).

Change your RSS feed URL and migrate your existing subscribers
To update Apple Podcasts with your new RSS feed URL and migrate your existing subscribers:

Set your web server to return an HTTP 301 redirect response when it receives a request for the old feed.

This response updates Apple Podcasts with the new feed URL and your subscribers continue to receive new episodes automatically.

Use the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag in your new feed to point to the new URL.

Important: Don’t set the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag to your podcast Mirror URL.

Note: To ensure that most subscribers download your most recent episodes and receive the new feed URL, maintain the <itunes:new-feed-url> tag and the HTTP 301 redirect response for at least four weeks.

Also, any clue why we have two feeds?

Whomever submitted your show to Apple Podcasts chose to use a category feed instead of the default PowerPress feed. Why that happened, I don’t know.

WordPress automatically makes an RSS feed for every slug on your website, including the “podcast” slug used by PowerPress. That’s why you have “two feeds.”

You can access the category-specific settings by:
1.) Turning on Category Podcasting in the Advanced Options menu at the bottom of any PowerPress settings page (if it’s not already turned on)
2.) Clicking the Category Podcasting link inside the PowerPress menu
3.) Clicking Edit underneath Podcast in the list of available Categories on the right
4.) Setting the feed limit there to 100 (or whatever you’d like) and clicking the Save Changes button

So if I redirect the site feed to the proper PP feed, I should be good?
