Trouble with Podcasting Plugin not displaying for some users

I am using the Podcasting plugin on many of the sites i have running and it has been brought to my attention that some of the less tech savvy web users can not see the web player. I worked with one and after updating his flash player he then saw everything perfectly. I am wondering if there is a work around or a hack that i could use to fix the problem without people having to install anything.

Something like if flash is not there use WMP or QT or whatever the computer default program is.

I have tried adding a download link to the podcast but this is still one of those things that the older users think if they download something it will destroy there computer.
