Problem on Gallery… Image don’t attach to a Post.

  • I need so much the gallery… I tested on beta version… and works fine… Now I upgraded my main blog to 2.8 and I can upload images… But I can’t attach them to the posts… (manualy or automaticaly).

    If I go to Media to do it manually, when I search in spite or return back the posts titles… returns me the image title :S

    Please fix it, and I hope you understand my english… sorry for it.

  • Try deactivating all plugins and check to see if this resolves the problem. If it does, activate the plugins one by one – checking image insertion after each re-activation – until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    I had reinstalled 2.7.1… So this is not a WordPress 2.8 problem?

    Are you using the plugin Category icons?

    If you are that is your issue.

    I have the same issue…and it is not a plugin problem. It must be something about the new gallery functions that screws up

    I have the same (or similar) problem.

    1. I installed 2.8. Upload and attachment work perfectly.
    2. I installed a plugin (Resize ad Upload) and attachment doesn’t work. I upload an image, but it’s not attached to the post. I have to go in Media and do it manually.
    3. I obviously deactivated the plugin, but the attachment still doesn’t work!

    Please, help me: it’s very important for me to fix this issue!

    I discovered that I have to save a draft of the post before upload an image!

    My problem persist on WordPress 2.8.2…

    Here you are another explanation:

    I am running a WordPress 2.7.1 and I can’t upgrade to 2.8.1/2.8.2… Why? Because when I upgrade it, the images doesn’t attach to the post, only upload as Unattached in Media Library, and the images are the main reason of my blog (I didn’t detect another problems, I don’t know if exists).

    Also, I removed all plugins and the problem persist, I thought is something with the database… Or I don’t know what. If I put back 2.7.1 all ok (sometimes 404 errors, but I can’t reproduce it when :S).

    Do you know how to fix it? Please help me.

    I had this same problem in a fresh test install of 2.8.2…I am having other issues as well (saving the draft before uploading seemed to fix the problem of images not being attached to a post).

    If I save draft… apperently work… But on a fresh install is not neccesary to Save Draft before…

    Do you know why happen that?

    I also detect with Firebugs this errors:
