I entered a test registration just now and didn’t get an error. What makes you think people are not, in fact, entering an invalid email address? Try to find out the address in question and test it yourself.

I guess it’s possible there’s an error in the email validation routine, but it’s a standard one that I’m using.

Hi, 3 people have reached out to me letting me know they are getting an error. Their emails are valid – one was from outlook.com and the other 2 were gmail.
The one that has the outlook email, tried a second time and was able to RSVP. One of the people from gmail tried twice and couldn’t.
I came to the forum to see if this had happened to anyone else.
    Thanks for your reply.

Can you replicate the error by plugging their email addresses into the form? Without that, there’s no way to know if they are entering typos. Something like joe@aol without the .com or omitting the @ symbol or including a space in the middle of the email address where it’s supposed to be a – or a _ or any number of other glitches.

You would think most people would know how to enter their email address into a form, but I’ve run into plenty of unsophisticated computer users who don’t. Older folks, sometimes, or just people who aren’t good typists. I’d imagine an event at the library could draw all types.

I’m not aware of this complaint occurring on a regular basis, and it hasn’t come up on my own sites that use RSVPMaker.
