If you are running a somewhat recent version of WP 1.3 alpha and have Spam problems, then you might want to check this latest plugin of mine:

Although it’s not yet completely out of alpha-testing phase, it’s already received quite a lot of testing and working very well (both on stopping spam and keeping false positives to a minimum).
