Gap underneath the slider

The welcome Text Widget is supposed to have more than just a title, it also needs some text in it, otherwise there’s some extra blank space.

That didn’t change the problem however because the gap was not below that welcome text widget.

I got a suggestion from another reader that the problem was using Jetpack.
When I disabled that plugin, the gap disappeared.

Any ideas how to use Jetpack with this theme without affecting the home page?

I am not aware of Jetpack visually affecting a theme’s look in any way.

As I don’t understand what “gap” you are referring to, I don’t think that I can suggest any solutions.
