Login screen keeps returning, can’t recognize password

  • Some 3 hours after I was logged in to the dashboard before, I go to log in now, type in my user name, then password, then hit “Log In”.

    Login screen returns, but with my user name still in place, and a blank where the password should be.

    I type in the password again, and click “Log in”, and the exact same thing happens.

    Is anyone else having this same problem?

    It starts to say (at the bottom of the screen “Opening page ….” but then the page doesn’t load, and it hops back to the same log in screen missing the password.

    The weird thing is, if I go to my website, then click “logout”, it logs me out! So, it’s as if WordPress thinks I’m logged in, but it won’t let me move anywhere past the Login screen.
