Plugin(s) to feed events/posts to social platforms

  • Hi all, I’m developing a site for a local band, and I’m trying to make it a “one stop shop” for news and events.

    The band have Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts, and I would like any site contributer to be able to

    • create an event in WordPress and have a Facebook event created, a tweet and an Instagram post generated automatically
    • add a news item, a facebook status, tweet and Insta post created

    Even better if an event is a few weeks away, schedule repeat posts to remind social followers.

  • There are many plugins that post to social media. Keep in mind that Facebook changed its policies, and now does not allow programmatic posting to Pages. It can post to your wall, but not your Page or Group. Other platforms may have changed since plugins were written also.

    Ok, thanks. Perhaps I’ll use Facebook as the hub, and populate WordPress, Twitter and Instagram from there.
