The new WordPress editor is simply terrible and it was with a complete relief that I found you had made this plugin. In my view, there is a reason why Microsoft Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice Writer all have basically the same interface…. it just works really well for editing documents. The old/classic WordPress editor was like these applications. It was powerful but simple.

The new WordPress editor does awful automagical thing. It only works if you don’t care what you blog looks like. It gets in the way. WordPress is great overall but I wonder if the developers have lost the plot. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the usage start to drop as new people don’t know what they are missing with the new editor and turn off WordPress all together. At the very least, WordPress should protect itself and offer both the classic and the new editor in the setup.
