I’m having problems with my ConstantContact form on the above site for a client – I’m not able to get it to add submissions to the CC list. I’m using plug-in version 1.4.3, WordPress version 5.0.2, PHP 7.2.6 and MySQL version 5.1.55. (yes, I know that’s an outdated version of MySQL, that’s a limitation on the part of my client’s host – Yahoo Small Business / Aabaco). I’ve looked through the support threads and haven’t been able to solve this problem.

I’ve tried checking / unchecking Bypass Constant Contact cron scheduling and I’ve checked to make sure that the opt in check box shows on the form and it’s still not working.

The same form on a test version on a different web host (https://claireprucherepperly.com/swest/) does populate the CC list.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @cpedesign

Can you enable the logging functionality in your settings page for Constant Contact Forms and let us know when you have saved that setting? We can then have yourself and ourselves try submitting to the form(s) in question and help populate the logging that will be enabled. It’ll hopefully help identify the issue at hand and why they’re maybe not being added to the list.

Unfortunately, I can’t turn on the logging functionality. I get an error message (We are not able to write to the /swwp/wp-content/ctct-logs/constant-contact-errors.log file.).

I’m 98% sure it’s the web host’s permissions. They don’t allow certain file types like hidden files to be saved (learned this the hard way with an issue with .htaccess).

Definitely a permissions issue, but it’s not going to be because of hidden files. This one would not be a hidden one ??

It sounds like the server isn’t able to create the file first, and then write to it afterwards.

Have you ever done any uploading of files to your hosting via ftp at all? or is that all unfamiliar to you? We could provide some steps to take to possibly manually create this file and whatnot, or help more in depth privately away from the forums here.

I am having the same issue. Constant Contact support forwarded this article. I am receiving an email from WordPress on the test optin signups, but the contact is not being added in my Constant Contact account. I have checked the Bypass Constant Contact CRON scheduling, same result.

I have added a new list within WordPress and the list will show up in my Constant Contact account, but the new contacts are not being added.

    Thank you,

    Greg

@gregdio if you’re able to enable the logging functionality and whatnot, can you do so and re-try submitting to the form? Also providing a link to the page with the form may provide some early insight as well for what’s going on there.

Thank you, I actually disabled the plugin and I am using the inline form from the Constant Contact account, which works fine.

I can activate the plug-in and post the link. Will do so tomorrow.

I reactivated and inserted in my single property page, the link is https://gregdiodati.com/listings/2635-w-a-st-dixon/

Can you confirm that you enabled the logging functionality on the Constant Contact settings page as well?

I just double checked and the logging functionality is turned on in the settings page. I am comfortable using FTP.

That last response was for Greg above. Sorry for not clarifying.

@cpedesign for you let’s manually create that folder and file, and then use your FTP client to make sure the file is writaable, and then try it again with checking the settings. I believe the logging page should change or remove the messaging if the file is good to go.

@constantcontact Yes the debugging box is checked on the settings page

    @gregdio

Trying to do a submission to the form, and we’re getting one of our error messages around Form IDs and the values for them possibly having changed. My hunch is that the _ctct_verify_key meta value on the original form created is somehow missing or different than what it previously was. If you’re interested in us looking into things further, we definitely can, but if you’d just prefer to return to the inline form solution, we understand as well.

Good morning, I just did a test submission on the plugin. Immediately received the email from WP on the Constant Contact Submission. I would like to use the plugin, I think it gives more flexibility on individual pages.

    Thank you for your assistance.

@gregdio let’s move yours to off-forum support. I’m curious about that error I was noting earlier.

Can you contact [email protected] and cc [email protected]? Please provide a link to this forum thread as well so that we can keep emails straightened out for what they’re for.

    Thanks.

@constantcontact – where should I manually create the file and folder and what should I name them? I’m assuming they go in the the constant-contact-forms folder in wp-content/plugins/
