• I am reviewing your “manage AdSense Ads on WordPress” instructions and there is a note that if I start a new forum thread, you will check if I set it up correctly. I have just set up Google AdSense, and I’ve installed Advanced Ads plug in on my site then set up the AdSense verification code. I received an email that Google AdSense will review my account. I want to make sure I have set up auto ads, etc on all pages of my blog site, or wherever is best for people to see the ads so I can make a little cash. I have had over 2000 views of my site in the last 2 days with my latest post. Please let me know if you will review and confirm I’ve set everything up properly. Thanks!

Whose instructions? What plugin are you using?

    Hi betterbrained,

if you are referring to my Advanced Ads plugin then yes, you can open an issue in the plugin-specific support forum if you have troubles setting up AdSense with it.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

While I am sure the Advanced Ads plugin is a great solution for running Google AdSense Ads on your site, you could feasibly just add the Google code for the Auto Ads feature in a Header/Footer Scripts plugin and let Google then do it’s thing and distribute those auto ads wherever it thinks they should go.

Usually, you’d use an ad management plugin for control over ad placement in sidebars, post content, headers, etc. But, you don’t really need an Ad management plugin if you’re going to just use Google’s new auto ads feature. Because Google will best determine where they are going to insert ads for you, instead of you deciding with an ad management plugin where they should go.

    Does that make sense?

Yes, that does make sense. I got nervous about placing a script on my own, and Google’s AdSense instructions say you can either place on your own or use a plugin. So at this stage, would I deactivate the Advanced Ads plug in and then repaste the script myself? The instructions say to “Paste it into the HTML of https://betterbrained.com, between the <head> and </head> tags”. I am not sure where to go in the WordPress site to do this.

There are free header / footer script plugins that will help you insert the code into a text field they provide. Just download one of them from the plugin repo, install, then insert the text in the header or footer script text field provided.
