After the update to 3.1.5 you can no longer create posts with Gutenberg (wp 5.0.2 with PHP 7.2.13). The page xxx/wp-admin/post-new.php does not load anymore and sometimes even crashes the browser.

EDIT: I have two synchronized instances (one main page and one for users to test), on the test page everything works normally and on the main page the error described above occurs – but plugins/settings/users/databases are identical on both instances?

EDIT 2: After I tried to open the submenu “Featured Image” in the post settings, I killed my still working instance.

After some more testing I think the bug is caused by a conflict of NextGEN Gallery and “The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe”. I’m just about to head over to there forum now and tell them about the issue…

    Hi @dennk

We are currently working on a feature image implementation with Gutenberg.
A workaround will be to use the Classic Editor in the meantime.

About the main problem linked with this thread:
We want to take a closer look at the problem you are having with “The Events Calendar by Modern Tribe” and NextGen Gallery. We may need to deactivate plugins and switch the theme while troubleshooting temporarily. Would you feel OK with that? If so, please send us a bug report here: https://www.imagely.com/report-bug, refer back to this forum thread and let them know Gaby referred you.

@gabyimagely A NextGen featured image can already be inserted under “featured images” – the function already exists in 3.1.5?

I’m about to send a bug report.

    Hi @dennk!

    You are correct.
Yes, please create that bug report.
    We’ll write you back.
