NextGEN Gallery Plugin mess my web after latest update

I’ve had the same problem, and only just realized in the last few minutes that this plugin was the last to update…

I did, however, find out that if I disable either this plugin, or “Simple Link Directory – Lite” if fixes it, so if I had to guess I think they made is incompatible.

I only have this plugin, no Simple Link, so this one is that’s causing my issue :S how can I reverse latest update?

There is also an incompatibility with “The Events Calendar”…

It would appear that something in this new update is causing a lot of problems, at 1st I thought it was my other plugin, but I was apparently wrong, I hadn’t noticed that my plugin updated until an hour or so ago.

I’m guessing everyone else is having problems on the create post page?

Yes, just disable it when you are creating post and enable after. Until they fix this.

Let’s narrow down the problem so we can check if is an existing issue only with NextGen Gallery.

1.- Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.

2.- Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.

3.- If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.

I had the same problem of @sashabcro.
I’m sure the problem is due to the last update of Nextgen because if I deactivate it all returns to work perfectly.
I think the problem is something related to the image in evidence.

I have similar problem. After last update I can’t start new topic. I get this error:

Backend fatal error: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function fastcgi_finish_request() in /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php on line 97\n, referer: https://www.spo-radovljica.si/

When I disable plugin everything is ok.

I found out that this problem appears when you have both “The Events Calendar” plugin and nextgen active and try to add a featured image in gutenberg.

Only using one of both plugins solves the problem, or using classic editor while both active as well.

So this seems to be a conflict between this three.

We are really sorry for the inconveniences. Just wanted to mention that we’ve launched 3.1.6 version that should fix the any conflicts with the third party conflicting plugins that caused the side effect on Gutenberg’s create/edit post feature.

Now everything should be back to normal,

I recommend installing the plugin again. I use it on my website (https://www.peruweek.pe) without problems.
