    Hello,

I am using WP 5.0.3. In Twenty Seventeen theme. I correctly typed the new admin email in WP General Settings. It shows that the old email address is still set; pending my action once I receive an email to confirm the email change.

I sent changed that setting at least 20 minutes ago, and I have yet to receive the aforementioned confirmation email.

Is this a new problem, or is there a workaround?

    Thanks in advance!

I’ve found this to be flaky. Try clicking the cancel button then change the email via the database. Using PHPMYADMIN from your hosting control panel, open your database and go to the “wp_options” table. Find the row with the key “admin_email”. Edit it and replace the email value with the correct one.

@sterndata, Thanks for your quick response. Your solution solved
that problem wonderfully in terms of allowing me to change the admin email.
For some reason, however, I am still not receiving email notifications as I test a new plugin. The plugin uses a “[admin_email]” short code in a Formidable form. I think I’ll just strip that shortcode out until I can figure that out with Formidable.
For now, I’ll close this ticket since changing the account was the primary concern, and that is resolved. I’ll go to Formidable next.
