I am successfully GETing the variable from the URL into the form, but when the form sends the variable is not in the resulting email. This did work when I originally set it up a few months ago, but no longer.

    Here is the mail code:
    From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
Subject: Inquiry from the contact form

    Message Body:
    [your-message]

    Email: [your-email]
    Phone: [your-phone]
    Design: [design-inquiry]

In the email the design inquiry area is blank. How can I fix this?

    Thanks!

  • You need to add a corresponding CF7 Mail tag in the Mail tab for each field you want to use from the Form tab.

I can’t see any sign of you sending this in the Mail tab info you supplied.

P.S. From: [your-name] <[your-email]> is now very risky.

You are probably getting warnings from CF7 about that. See Your Contact Form 7 email may be going to spam (disclosure I am the author of this article).

What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    Thanks for responding.

I was assembling a list of plugins for you and I realized I still had ‘Contact Form 7 – Dynamic Text Extension’ enabled, even though I wasn’t using it. I disabled it and now the variable is being passed. So you helped! Thanks.
