Not working with Gutenberg block editor

Hello,

Plugin’s “Insert Page scroll to id target” and “Insert/edit Page scroll to id link” toolbar buttons work only on WordPress 4.x editor.

In Gutenberg’s block or classic editors, you can use plugin’s shortcodes. The shortcodes and toolbar buttons do exactly the same thing.

You don’t have to switch between editors. You can use the shortcodes in the classic editor block or you can use them in Gutenberg’s “Shortcode” block.

To create a target as a block, click the plus icon, select “Shortcode” and insert:

[ps2id id='some-id']

or:

[ps2id_wrap id='some-id']
…your other block(s) here…
[/ps2id_wrap]

If you want to avoid creating special links for “Page scroll to id”, go to “Page scroll to id” settings and change or make sure the “Selector(s)” option is:

a[href*=#]:not([href=#])

This way the plugin will apply to any link you create with any editor (old, classic or block).

So I’ve created a page called services with #services in the menu and put the shortcode block as [ps2id id=’services’] but for some reason the shortcode is displaying on my page.

I’m currently using Gutenberg on WP 5.2

Any reason why this would be?

Yes I am using the shortcode block on the Gutenberg editor.

[ps2id id=’services’] is the shortcode that I used.

@danboye14 Try closing the shortcode like this:

[ps2id id='services'/]

Also, make sure you’re using single quotes ' and not ’

I’ve managed to work out what the issue was.

It wasn’t anything with the shortcode. I was using get_pages and had not applied a filter for the content so it was rendering pure text.
