Firefox update screwed up wp-admin…?

  • I logged in to my wp-admin a short time ago and the Dashboard had changed from its usual neat, grey-boxes look to plain lines and some links that went nowhere.

    I tried the New Post link, which worked, but the post screen was missing all the formatting options above the posting box and I am unable to write a post.

    I noticed that Firefox had installed updates as it does from time to time and that’s the only thing I can think of that has happened since my wp-admin was last looking as it should.

    Out of interest, I logged in using Safari and IE and wp-admin looked normal in both of those, which is the other reason I am looking at Firfox as the culprit.

    Has anybody else had any issues with this and more importantly, any clues how to fix it?

  • I haven’t had this issue but you might have Page Styles turned off in Firefox. Check View > Page Style. It should be on Basic Page Style. Did you try opening the site in a new tab or after restarting Firefox?

    WP admin was screwed up before the Firefox update… it started with the WP update from 2.7.1 to 2.8. the other day.

    I think they released 2.8 long before it was close to being ready… it’s hard to tell if they even tested it?

    It could even be a beta version… and they conveniently forgot to warn us.

    I don’t know why, I just know when.

    I’m seeing the same thing, it happened right after I updated WordPress to 2.8 yesterday. Out of curiosity I tried to look at the admin pages with IE and the pages look fine there – guess I’ll be admining from IE until this gets resolved.

    I just updated too, and it looks awful ??

    It looks bad on Safari and Firefox for me.

    You’re not alone, either. I have a topic already posted but I just wanted to say that I’m on the same boat. My client can’t see it properly in Firefox OR Safari. If anyone finds anything out let me know.

    I can see the site just fine in Safari but firefox hates it. I don’t know what to do from here.

    has this been fixed for you guys? mine is still all messed up.
