    Hi all,
and first of all thanks fpr the great plugin. I am using it since years.

Now I have updated to CF7 Version: 5.1.1 and ReCaptcha v3. The Recaptcha badge is not showing in the footer and the SPAM is coming in. When swiching to default theme (twentyeleven) the problem remains. I have controlled keys and domains several times, still no chance.

When I put [recaptcha] shortcode in the form, the recaptcha at the frontend told me: “Fehlerhinweis für Inhaber der Website: Schlüsseltyp ungültig”. (Site owner error notice: key type invalid)

    Any idea?

    Thanks.

  • According to the numerous reports from other users, this seems to be a problem with the reCaptcha v3 script being optimized/minified/deferred by a script optimization plugin.

Try to deactivate the script optimization plugin and check if that solves the issue. If that is the case, see if your script optimization plugin has the possibility to exclude the reCaptcha script from being optimized.

Thanks for the answer. The problem is: There is no script optimization plugin installed. And I have tried to deactivate all plugin but the problem remains.

When I put [recaptcha] shortcode in the form

CF7 Version: 5.1.1 with ReCaptcha v3 does not require or use [recaptcha] shortcodes – they are ignored.

But the error you got is odd (Site owner error notice: key type invalid). This indicates there is an issue with your Google ReCaptcha v3 configuration.

When swiching to default theme (twentyeleven) the problem remains.

This rules out the wp_footer() issue being your problem.

There is no script optimization plugin installed. And I have tried to deactivate all plugin but the problem remains.

These are last 2 items I would have suggested testing.

The Recaptcha badge is not showing in the footer

Unfortunately this confirms that ReCaptcha v3 in still not working on your site (unless you deliberately hide the badge using CSS).

Only thing I can suggest is that there is an error with your Google ReCaptcha v3 configuration.

    Hello,
thanks for the clarification. I will check the wp_footer() and get in contact with the theme author. When I get a solution I will post it here.

    Best Regards
