• I loaded String Locator on a site yesterday, and within minutes, the site failed.

The script filled the options table with 276 MB of autoload data.

We had to remove the plugin, and go into phpMyAdmin to delete the autoload option data created by string locator.

    This happened once before too.

    Please look into fixing this.

Correction, it was 8 GB of data in the options table.

    Hi,

What sort of site setup do you have (how large is it, how many plugins, themes, media files) exists?

The options table is merely holding chunks of locations to search through to work around processing timeouts, so it sounds shocking that it would add 8GB of data to it, but a bit more information about your setup would help diagnose this.
