Links Leading to Images

Hi @hannahrupp,

Where is the linking is supposed to happen exactly on your website? Can you give me one example of an image that is supposed to do that?

There are currently two galleries on the landing page – “My Favorite Posts” and “Stuff I Love”. Both sets of images should open into either posts within the website or external affiliate links.

I am having the same problem. When I look at the back end of the gallery the pictures are linked but when you go to the page and click on the pictures it just brings up the picture file. This is the page.

Can you try the latest version I have just uploaded it today? I think it might resolve the issues you are having, I checked your website and the fix was exactly for this case ??

Will it automatically update or will I manually do it? Just curious because my links are still acting the same, sans a manual update.

It will not automatically update @hannahrupp, like other plugins, you need to go in your admin, check the Updates, and run the process. It should appear now as an available update.

Ok, I did the update. So far the external links are opening properly (yay!) but the internal links are still opening just an image. I played around with the “link to” option in gallery settings, as well as toggling the “same page” and “new page” option, but neither one made a difference.

So I’m halfway there!

Hi I’m sorry if I’m jumping in here but it seems I have the same problem. When I moved from WP Gallery plugin, all the links were there so I just used them and it didn’t work. They were all internal links and would just open up the image. So I even recreated a gallery but the same thing happened. I also updated the plugin and purged the cache.

You said you moved from the WP Gallery, but for which gallery system? This plugin does add links depending on the gallery used (more specifically, the class), so it would need to know about it.

Do you have a link to this gallery where the links should work? I would like to take a look ??

I was using. WP Gallery Custom Links plugin and added gallery of other posts on my site with it. Then I deactivated it and got your plugin. When I went back to posts that had galleries, the links seemed to still be there and I could tell your plugin was being used. However when you clicked on the pictures it just took you to another page with just the image, not the post. They are all internal links of other posts.
Here’s a page that has a lot of galleries on it. Not sure what gallery system you are talking about. I am just creating a gallery that is apart of wordpress????https://mylifecookbook.com/best-low-carb-recipes-fall/

HI Jordy, I had to activate the old plugin until I figure this out. I have too many of these galleries and can’t keep them up broken. Please let me know though if you have any ideas what I’m doing wrong.
