Upon Logging in, I get redirected to English default language.

  • Whenever I log into my website, I’m redirected to the page I set in the ultimate member restrictions. If I choose to login in French, my secondary language, I’m redirected to English the second I log in. I would like to remain in the same language once I log in and get redirected to the specific page without using the language switcher to get the appropriate page.

    I get redirected to the correct page, however, it changes my URL to EN instead of staying on FR.

    Things I should mention: The Login form is not a default Ultimate member login form. I created my login page separately and placed the Login form shortcode within the page.

    I am using Translate Press widget to Translate my website.

    @ultimatemembersupport Hello, I am currently using Translate Press to translate my website ??

    I believe this would be an Ultimate Member issue since this only occurs on the specific pages that I listed, when I visit any other page on my site, I am redirected to the correct language.

    If I log in to my site in French with another user, I will initially be redirected to the correct page in the correct language, but if I visit another page while still in French and return to my login page, the language automatically changes to English, even though I was surfing my site in French.

    Something to point out: I currently have user restrictions on my login page and when a visitor logs in, it would redirect them to another page. The link I used to redirect the user is to an English page. https://postimg.cc/5jvhMx8S

    It’s a tricky situation, and I am unsure how to resolve it.

    What’s the permalink structure when there’s language?

    Does it look like this?
    yoursite.com/en/this-is-an-example-page/

    or like this?
    yoursite.com/this-is-an-example-page/?lang=en

    Does the redirect_to show in the URL when you’re viewing a restricted page of the site without logging in? IF so, is that redirect_to URL translated to French or in English?

    Unfortunately, we are not allowed to access your site to test as this violates the WP.org guidelines. It will be helpful if you can provide a video clip showing the issue.

    Hello, sorry for the late reply.

    Whenever a user attempts to access a restricted page, they will be prompted to register in order to gain access. Please see the link: https://postimg.cc/1f813bCF

    My login page is shown in the link, and as you can see there are restrictions and users will be redirected to a specific URL once they log in. Keep in mind that the page I set to redirect the user to is in English because it’s my default language.

    The strange thing is that if a user logs in while still in French, they will initially be redirected to the correct page in French. However, if the user goes to another page and then back to the one where they logged in, it automatically redirects them to the English version of that page, even though they were still using the site in French.

    What do you propose I do?
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
