At the moment I’ve got a few masonry galleries, and the user can click on an image to see a bigger version (the ‘link to media’ option). Then they have to click the back button to return to the masonry view and choose another image to click on.

It would be even better if that bigger version had ‘<‘ and ‘>’ buttons to allow the user to move to the bigger version of the next photo in the gallery. In other words, a ‘link to carousel’ option, using masonry to show an overview of the gallery, and then click on an image to bring up a full-screen carousel.

Is there a way of doing that? Or could it be added to this plugin?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Chris,

That’s an interesting idea. I am working on a lightbox functionality (like I’ve used on previous theme’s I’ve built – such as this one. ) which I think will do just this. ??

If you are adding lightbox functionality to this plugin, please add in light or dark background option and once within the lightbox double clicking on the image will zoom to full size, double clicking again will return to fit to screen. Also, would be really nice to have social sharing buttons. This is why I’m using Responsive Lightbox by GrandWP as it provides all this functionality. You can see it on my site https://www.brucephotoart.com clicking on one of the galleries will show you your Block Gallery plugin in action. Clicking on an image will bring up the lightbox. The zoom is an issue due to an issue I’ve already mentioned with the media link, but the social sharing is there. To see the zoom feature, you might need to view a post under Journal/Blog -> Photography & Art. Click on the first image in the post and the zoom feature should work.
