I’m using xtheme in 5.0.3 WP.

    I activate the plugin.
    I create a page/post.
As the page loads, the area to input the info for your plugin appears for an instant then disappears.

I shut off all plugins and modified some settings too, but the same result.

You can see it flash at the 12-second mark of this video

Oh, huh, what flashes is the HTML for the pre-5.0 “Gutenburg” editing interface. You don’t actually need that screen at all, and in fact will be removed soon as Gutenburg obsoletes is. My advice for the time being is to stick to the shortcode attributes and ignore the GUI options (as all those do is write shortcode attributes anyway, and they might not even work in WP versions 5.0 and later).

Yeah, no worries. I will eventually release a version compatible with Gutenberg and WordPress 5.x but in the mean time you should be able to just ignore it. If there are any major showstoppers with 5.x please let me know, though I don’t expect there to be.
