    Hey everyone,

We’re trying to get a RSS feed for our blog posts only (no episode posts) so our RSS feed can populate our blogs on another page in our network. We are running into an issue because even though our specific feed page for the podcast is set up, our regular feed still connects to that specific page which is run by FeedBurner.

Does anyone know how to rectify this problem? I’ve tried making new RSS feeds using plugins but I haven’t had much luck. We use PowerPress and FeedBurner to post the podcast and track stats but I’d like to be able to have a written blog-only RSS feed.

    Appreciate any help, thank you.

What is the blog post feed URL?

Also, there are some plugins that will send *all* of your feed URLs to a FeedBurner feed. Used to be one called something like “Feedsmith” that did that. If you have a plugin like that activated, you’ll probably want to turn it off.

    Hello,

If https://www.broadstreetbully.net/feed/podcast/ is your podcast feed, it is redirecting to FeedBurner. This is a problem in that when FeedBrurner goes to the URL to get the latest episodes, it is redirecting back to feedburner, essentially preventing feedburner from getting your feed.

We have an option in PowerPress called podcast mirror feed URL, you can put the feedburner feed URL in there as well, they are compatible. https://www.PodcastMirror.com is a modern version of FeedBurner.com, I would highly recommend considering it over FeedBurner.

I assume you are doing a .htaccess rewrite rule to feedburner. If that is the case, please remove this as this is causing your issue.

When you use the PowerPress option for your feed burner URL, you can bypass it by using the URL https://www.broadstreetbully.net/feed/podcast/?redirect=no, this would be the URL you provide FeedBurner for example. PodcastMirror.com you simply need to check the box that you are using PowerPress and PodcastMirror.com will add the ?redirect=no automatically.

    Thanks,
    Angelo

Awesome, I migrated to PodcastMirror with your suggestion.

I re-directed FeedBurner there and was able to deactivate a FeedBurner plugin that was migrating all of my native WordPress feeds to feedburner. Now it seems I have a regular RSS feed for posts and one for podcasts that now goes with PodcastMirror. Thanks so much for your help!
