Hi RavanH please take a look here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-delete-access-to-feed-page/#post-11153254
disable comments plugin block “feed” page, what do you think about this? It’s everythink ok? Or is something wrong?

Hi Marius, looking at your sitemap I see it live and it returns the proper code and status 200 OK. So it looks like the comment plugin does not block access to your sitemap.
I would be surprised it it would affect SEO for your site on other levels. Disabling comments and the related comment feeds seems perfectly valid to me. It should not hurt your SEO.
What errors do you get in Search Console?
screen1: https://prnt.sc/mffavi
screen2: https://prnt.sc/mffb56Hello RavanH. Too many page not indexed right now with the /feed at the end. If in the future they will come “indexed” will return “comment disabled” message? I’m worried it may not be good in the future.
So… you actually want the feeds to be indexed? Why?
No I don’t want, but I have other website and they have indexed some feeds page…
It can be my unfounded fear.I’m still not sure I am following. You do not want Google to index your feeds but you fear that it will do so? Why are you afraid of that? If it does, they will likely not serve in search results anyway as they usually contain less relevant information than the actual posts that are references there…
So the day that you turn on that other plugin and they will start showing “comment disabled” I don’t think it will hurt your search results.
Read https://www.stonetemple.com/should-you-noindex-your-rss-feed/ about Google knowing feeds are not an “authoritative source of content.”
Hope that helps you put your mind at ease ??
hmmm now income to see Errors on google search console take a look @ravanh screen: https://prnt.sc/mg8wm5
I don’t know if blocked comments it’s a good idea..
So if I have 1000 article I also have 1000 error message “access denied” on my search console? For google return error 403…
I’m really worried this can affect SEO.- This reply was modified 5 years, 10 months ago by mariushosting.
the problem disappear after uninstall “disable comments plugin” and deactivate comments trought wordpress – Discussion.
I think there is a problem with “disable comments plugin” and feedI’m using automatic wordpress options to not show comments and problem simply don’t exist anymore. The Feed page now is visible to google and for all visitors even if you can not leave comments. Now problem is solved but I think the plugin disable comments have some incompatibility with XML sitemaps and this may cause so much errors on search console and it is better to avoid them especially when it comes to page 403 access denied.
yeah, it seems cleaner to simply disable comments (feeds will simply be empty) instead of using a plugin that blocks search engine access… still, i don’t think it will hurt your seo but it’s better to be safe than sorry ??
but I think the plugin disable comments have some incompatibility with XML sitemaps
Why do you think that?
Because simply “Block” feed page instead disabling comments.
Now I have disabled comment using wordpress function but my “feed” page is not blocked anymore. So your plugin + disable comments plugin together can generate thousands of 403 error pages (access denied) on google search console. Some might say it’s normal but the generation of thousands of pages that come back with the error code 403 is not good either in the short term or in the long run.
finally, the problem generated is certainly attributable to the plugin “disable comments”.
So your plugin + disable comments plugin together can generate thousands of 403 error pages (access denied) on google search console.
I don’t see what it has to do with my sitemap plugin. The feed URLs are not referenced in the sitemap. Google finds them on its own (from page source) just as it would without a sitemap.
Hello RavanH Sir,
On 29-04-2019, I updated your plug-in “xml sitemap & Google News” and my entire web site has crashed. Web site if https://virtualoffice.org.in and now I get this on the web site (which you may also see)
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/content/49/10051549/html/wp-content/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/controllers/class.xmlsf-sitemap-news.php on line 62
Your plug-in has spoiled my web site itself. Even GoDaddy restored previous day data but still my web site do not work. Your plugin has spoiled the entire web site.

You can disable the ‘XML Sitemap & Google News’ plugin by renaming the plugin directory:
Change this: /wp-content/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed
To this: /wp-content/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed.bak
Hopefully that will allow you to regain access to your website…
You might post a new support request for your particular issue.
Sir, It still do not work.
In fact in GoDaddy it do not allow to reach that plugin page itself.
The pop-up message appears on right hand top corner as follows:“There was an error talking to API. Please try later”
Sir, GoDaddy says it is only due to the plug-in issue.
GoDaddy has tried to restore one previous day from their History. But still the web site do not work and gives the same message i.e.Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/content/49/10051549/html/wp-content/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/controllers/class.xmlsf-sitemap-news.php on line 62
Please help me Sir,
