My title is not correct

    I cant figure out why my title is on the podcast

    Lionheart Church Int. – Lionheart Church

    Where is exactly is the plugin pulling the information and what setting do I need to change?

    Right now I am using Category Podcast and the category is Lionheart Church Inc and also in the Simple Settings the title is Lionheart Church Int. Which one is it using, the Category or the simple settings.

    How do I remove the – Lionheart Church (That is my username on the website)
    I don’t want that to show up only

    Everything after the dash is probably being added by your WordPress theme. (Some themes developers like to do this with RSS feeds, I don’t know why.)

    Give this a try:
    1.) Log in to your WordPress site and hover over the PowerPress link in the left-hand sidebar. Click the Settings link in the popup menu. Switch to Advanced mode if you’re not already there.
    2.) Click the Feeds tab. Check the box next to “Do not allow other plugins to modify podcast feeds” and click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
    3.) Clear any site caches if applicable.

    Check the feed again and see if the stuff after the dash is still there.

    I did and cleared cache and waited a day, its still not working. Do you have any other suggestions?

    I just figured out….It’s grabbing the website title from WordPress. I removed the website title to see if this works, but is it anywhere in the plugin, I can disable this?

    Hello @mhannor,

    I looked up your podcast on iTunes, the feed you gave them is a category podcast feed (https://www.lionheartchurch.org/category/podcast/feed/). Shawn was working under the assumption it was your main podcast feed.

    Go to PowerPress settings menu on the left and select “category podcasting”. Under category podcasting, edit your podcast category feed you created. Here you can change the title of the category feed. Keep in mind though that as Shawn mentioned, your Theme may be adding your category title to your feed titles, in which case you may need to modify your theme to prevent this. I believe though Category podcasting if you set a title there it will override this.

    Thank you guys for your help, I was able to fix it, it was pulling the name of the website from Settings > General > Site Title. I deleted that refreshed the Podcast and now I only have the podcast title ??
