Is there a reason most websites don’t have amp ?it’s rare to see the amp symbol in google next to url. I’ve been stressing about it trying to get it to work …. but reading more is amp bad does it remove all your nice website features like strip it down ? I wouldn’t want that.

Also is it realistic to have a website with a speed of .5 sec that’s loaded with content ? I feel like it’s aweful having a website load time of 1.5 sec from canada server gtmetrix scan with only demo content and astra siteground cloudflare

Godaddy sucks I already xfered 2nd domain to siteground progeek to lose a second on loading but I’m still trying to get all this optimizing all figured out and set

    Sorry for the delay here.

There are tons of factors that come into play when referring to website speed.

AMP is certainly a great way to achieve blazingly fast websites with a great user experience. For this, AMP sets some limits (e.g. no custom JavaScript, maximum 50 KB of CSS, etc.), but this doesn’t mean you have to remove any functionality from your site.

With AMP you can replicate lots of the things you just used some JavaScript before. You can even play tic-tac-toe with it ??

I recommend you to learn more about AMP by checking out the official documentation, as well as the documentation of this plugin.

Depending on the complexity of your website, it can take some time initially to convert your existing site AMP compatible. That’s why you might feel like there aren’t that many AMP sites out there. However, for new websites that is not necessarily true.
