HI there. currently the only way to do this is to set the Featured Image of the post to be square like Apple Podcasts requires. We have a help doc that walks through the decision making process the plugin uses to display the cover image in the player: https://support.castos.com/article/63-why-does-my-podcast-cover-image-not-display-properly

Let us know how that goes for you.

We’ll be adding in a separate player/episode image field in the future, but just aren’t there yet.

    Hello Craig,
    Thank you for your help.
It works fine that way. Glad to read you will add a separate image field per episode for the player un the future.
    Love your plugin.

    Cheers.

Glad we could resolve that for you!

The featured image works just fine, but is there a way to have the squared image show inside the player, not the post?

HI @benchuks thanks for the follow up on this. This is a feature that we’ve got on the table for the plugin, and if you’d like to upvote it to move it higher in our development queue please do so at feedback.castos.com so we can prioritize it over other enhancements that are coming.

We have planned for this to be an episode specific podcast image (that will go into the feed and into the player), that’s not tied to the Post featured image, as well as a feed specific Description so that you can have that content in your feed separate from what’s in your posts.

Love to hear your (and everyone else’s) feedback on those plans.
