Contact Form 7 (CF7) does not pass gtm4wp.contactForm7Submitted into data layer

  • I am trying to setup a trigger that fires when a Contact Form 7 form is submitted on the front end.

    I followed your guide here: https://dcarlbom.com/google-tag-manager/contact-form-7-on-wordpress-with-gtm/

    But I checked the Contact Form 7 integration box inside the plugin admin settings, and then tested everything using preview mode after it was setup as per your article above, and the event you are using “gtm4wp.contactForm7Submitted” does not get passed to the data layer when submitting a form.

    Has this setup method changed?

    P.S. Lots of the images in that tutorial page are now missing and instead just show a dead 404 link.
