    Hello,

How can I restrict access to a specific folder for only specific users? Is this possible?

    Thank you,
    Peter.

folders currently don’t have permission only files do. So unfortunately you cannot do that.

Ugh.. OK.. I need to re-think this.

Thank you for responding so quickly.

I’m using the Content Control plugin along with User Role Editor to restrict access to library folders.

    Thanks, @ralnic.

I am trying this now.. I’ve installed “Content Control” . I have a role manager already. I uploaded an image to the library and create a restriction in Content Control to only allow logged in users of a specific role to view that image.

I then put that image on a page.

I went to the page in the browser and I was able to see that image…

maybe I am doing something wrong. I’ll keep playing.. Any insights you can give would be greatly appreciated.

    thank you,
    Peter.

Maybe this? Edit the page and include this content control shortcode before and after your image.

    [content_control roles=”subscriber”]

    your image

    [/content_control]
