“Add New Post” page not loading

  • My dashboard won’t let me add new posts. Every time I click the “add new” link, the page goes completely blank. I read something about a classic editor plugin, but I checked and all my plugins are updated. I have no idea how to fix this. I can login fine, and use the site customizer, but my “add new” page won’t work at all. How am I supposed to fix this?

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Nineteen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    I have the same problem and didn’t have plug in’s and when I added a health check plug in then it says no errors.

    I also tried different browsers and still doesn’t work. I put on a new anti virus and did a scan and all good.

    I updated my version of wordpress and still the same problem….

    Please help me…

    Did you installed Jetpack? update the plugin or just uninstall it.
    Check, it should work.
    Some of the plugins create this kind of problem. If still not fixed, uninstall Cache plugin and check.

    I am having this same issue creating new posts or new pages. I get this error when trying to create either –

    Warning: Creating default object from empty value in /home/mycpanelname/public_html/wp-admin/includes/post.php on line 708

    Most the other forms are line 642 and I’ve tried what they suggested and the solutions haven’t worked. My developer can’t find a solution and suggests contacting my host and the host can’t find a solution and suggests it’s the developer. I’ve run health check, updated the PHP on my domain, replaced the WP core files, deleted the cpanel and restored it using a backup (even one prior to the error) and the problem persists. I’ve inactivated plugins and reactivated them. The problem also continues using WP theme 19. So I’m at a loss. Any assistance in advance is appreciated.

    I am having the same issue, i delete all plugins and activate the default theme ‘twenty ninteen’. Please help me.

    With me I realised that it was actually my laptop and that I cleared files ect and speeded it up and then it started loading fine again…. So perhaps check your own PC as well? … suggestion

    I’m having the same issue! I’ve taken all of the above steps and still get the “link you have followed has expired” error message when trying to add new posts or pages.

    Any suggestions? I’m on a deadline and desperate!

    Towhac, what if you ask for an extention perhaps?
