remove Woocommerce placeholder image, but not my images

You can change the placeholder image at:
Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Products
Use a transparent image.

@lorro, I think you have misunderstood my problem.

I am able to add my own (Transparent Background) images OK. But they are just overlaid over the woocommerce placeholder. The Placeholder image is therefore visible through my transparent background.

Can you please try uploading a transparent image and check if that works for you?

Problem was with my image cropping. I tested with a virgin image with transparent background and all is OK
