    Hi,
Every page of my website has a header link such as <link rel=’shortlink’ href=’https://www.mysite.com/?p=8078&#8242; />. This is obsolete when using permalinks as most sites now do. Does Yoast have an option to remove these links?

    Hi @jdtravel

Since it’s a WP core code, you can use a filter to remove rel=’shortlink’ from your header. You can search for available filters or you may use the filter suggested in this page.

Please do note that we have not tested it yet on our testing environment so please be careful in inserting the code on your site. Much better if you try it on your staging site first. If your web host does not offer staging sites, the WordPress plugin repository offers staging plugins or you can create your own staging site.
