PayPal SetExpressCheckout API call failed

  • Trying to integrate PayPal for WooCommerce and not sure what I’m doing wrong. Everything seems to work on site but when I click on the PayPal Express button, I get this message:

    PayPal SetExpressCheckout API call failed
    Error Code: 10002?
    Error Severity Code: Error?
    Short Error Message: Security error?
    Long Error Message: Security header is not valid

    Do you have any idea what might be going wrong? Thank you!

    I just noticed that my two emails were different so I changed them both to match my paypal account email. Now I get a different error message: There was a problem paying with PayPal. Please try another method.

    Hi @wildbug ,

    Can you show me what you’re entering in those API fields? I don’t remember anything like entering an email in API settings in our plugin, so either you are using a different plugin or you are not using the correct API details.

    Please follow this setup guide to get the plugin working as expected.
