ShareThis & WP 2.8

  • I have WP 2.8 blog using the “Over Easy” theme from WooThemes.

    The ShareThis plugin doesn’t add the ShareThis “widget” to posts and pages.

    Both “Automatically add ShareThis to your posts?*” and “Automatically add ShareThis to your pages?*” are set to “Yes.”

    Anyone else having problems with ShareThis and WP 2.8 or a WooThemes theme?

  • Could be that the plugin isn’t compatible with WP 2.8 yet. I noticed on the plugin page that it’s only officially compatible up to 2.7.x.

    I have it working on WP2.8 without any issues so far. This could be a specific theme problem. Perhaps you should find the code that ShareThis adds to the theme and insert it manually. I noticed when customizing WooThemes or any other that sometimes code inserted in the wrong place renders it not showing correctly. Just a thought…not sure.
