Compound Relationship attribute

    Hi,

    I am in the process of creating a website for a theater. I have plays, and actors, custom post types, with custom meta attributes. I want to create a relation between plays and actors, and using the Relationship extension looks like a good start. But! I need to have them connected with a string attribute, as an Actor plays a Role in a Play. Is it possible with the Meta Box plugin family?

    Hi Daniel,

    At the moment, the Relationships plugin doesn’t support extra data for each connection.

    In order to resolve this, I’d suggest using the Meta Box Group plugin. It can help you build a group for a connection, in that group, you can specify which author the play connects to, and which role he has.

    However, as the Group is not meant for relationship in its nature, it works best for one-way relationships.
