Accessing plugin problem

  • Hi, hope someone can help me, please…
    I’m trying to upload some stuff to my wp-content/plugin folder but it wouldn’t allow me, saying [550 file.php: Permission denied]
    I tried to chmod to the max at 777 so at least I could access the folder but it doesn’t work. I can’t even delete it.
    Does anyone knows what I should do?
    Please please pretty please? Thanks.

  • That sounds like a hosting issue – I would email them with full details.

    Yes, I suspect it is. They did a server upgrade the other day and one file had the same problem.
    But I also did a lot of tweaking so I thought it might be something I’ve done. Nevertheless, I’m emailing my host on this problem.
